Engine Oil Pump - Install

Usage:

Installation Procedure


NOTICE

Keep all parts clean from contaminants.

Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.


  1. Thoroughly clean the mounting surfaces for the engine oil pump.

  2. Install idler gear (12) on the engine oil pump. Install bolt (11). Check the end play for the idler gear. The end play for the idler gear is 0.05 to 0.35 mm (0.002 to 0.014 inch).

  3. Position engine oil pump (10) on the cylinder block. Install the washers and bolts (13).

  4. Install O-ring seal (1) and O-ring seal (2) on elbow (5). Position the elbow on the engine oil pump and install bolts (7). Install bolts (6).

  5. Install gasket (9) and tube assembly (4) on the engine oil pump. Install bolts (8). Install bolts (3).

End By:

  1. Install the engine oil pan. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Engine Oil Pan - Remove and Install".
