Product Support Program For Replacing Composite Front Fender On Certain 950G, 962G, 966G And 972G Wheel Loaders Caterpillar

NOTE: This Program can only be administered after a failure occurs. The decision whether to apply the Program is made by the dealer. When reporting the repair, use "PS50037" as the Part number and "7755" as the Group Number. Use "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and use "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.

Problem

The composite front fender needs to be replaced on certain 950G, 962G, 966G and 972G Wheel Loaders. The composite front fenders can shear and break under high stresses or vibration. New steel fenders need to be installed.

Action Required

Remove the composite front fenders and install steel fenders, reusing the existing hardware. Remove the rear flaps and the front extensions (if equipped) from the old fenders and install them back on the new fenders, reusing the existing hardware. 950G and 962G Standard Wheel Loaders require 1726251 and 1726252 Fenders. 950G and 962G Roading and all 966G and 972G Wheel Loaders require 1846259 and 1846260 Fender.
