Usage:
NOTE: This Program must be administered as soon as possible. When reporting the repair, use "PI10011" as the Part number and "7751" as the Group Number, "56" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and "T" as the SIMS Description Code. Exception: If the repair is done after failure, use "PI10011" as the Part Number, "7751" as the Group Number, "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code, and "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.
Problem
Steps need to be added to the PAT Bulldozer Blade Arrangement on certain D6R XL and D6R IG Tractors. he steps will be added to the C-Frame on the right and left side of the machine. he added steps, together with the handrail, give the operator an improved entrance and exit point.

Rework Procedure
Steps have been added to the (156-4545) C-Frame of the 156-4542 and 1803470 PAT Modification on the D6R XL and D6R IG Tractors. The steps combined with the standard hand rails give the operator a better way of entering and exiting the cab.
PROCEDURE:
1) Two steps are needed, one right hand and one left hand.
2) Position step(s) on the side of "plate 1". ("plate 1" is attached to the front side of the c-frame) See "Detail 1"
3) Locate step(s) one inch from the lower side edge of "plate 1", and one half inch from the bottom of "plate 1".
4) Hold step horizontal and tack weld in place.
5) Preheat area around step, on c-frame, to 300 degree Fahrenheit.
6) Weld both ends of step(s), completely around, with inch weld. (for welding use E7018 electrodes or equivalent)
