The procedure for tightening the clamping bolt for the unit injector has changed. The following steps ensure a properly tightened injector. The change affects all of the engines that are listed above.

1. Tighten the clamping bolt for the injector to 30 ± 7 N·m (22 ± 5 lb ft).

2. Loosen the bolt until you can turn the bolt by hand.

3. Tighten the clamping bolt for the injector to 30 ± 7 N·m (22 ± 5 lb ft).

1. Tighten the clamping bolt for the injector to 50 ± 10 N·m (37 ± 7 lb ft).

2. Loosen the bolt until you can turn the bolt by hand.

3. Tighten the clamping bolt for the injector to 50 ± 10 N·m (37 ± 7 lb ft).
