The Standard 3 Phase Voltages That Are Available Have Changed For Options That Are Driven By Electric Motors {5927}

Usage:

3616 1FN
Engines:
3606 (S/N: 8RB)
3608 (S/N: 6MC; 1ZD; 5PG; 8LL; 7WR)
3612 (S/N: NZA; 9RC; 9FR; 2NZ)
3616 (S/N: 1PD; 1FN)

The standard 3 phase voltages that are available have been changed for options that are driven by electric motors. The options that are affected include the following items: electric barring device, intermittent electric prelube, continuous prelube, jacket water heaters, oil heaters and combined heaters. The voltages that are available follow:

  • 380 VAC at 60 Hz

  • 400 VAC at 50 Hz

  • 480 VAC at 60 Hz

The electric motors that are used in these options have been sized so that the motors that are designed to operate at 400 VAC and 50 Hz can be operated at 380 VAC and 50 Hz. The motors that are designed to operate at 480 VAC and 60 Hz can be operated at 460 VAC and 60 Hz. The motors that are designed to operate at 380 VAC and 60 Hz must be operated at 380 VAC and 60 Hz.

If any of the optional heaters are used at a voltage that is less than the rating, the output of heat from the heating elements will be reduced and the heater will run longer in order to maintain the temperature setpoint.
