NOTE: | This Program must be administered either before or after failure. In either case the decision whether to apply the Program is made by the dealer. When reporting the repair, use "PS43077" as the Part Number and "7755" as the Group Number. If administered before failure, use "56" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and "T" as the SIMS Description code. If administered after failure, use "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code, and "Z" as the SIMS Description Code. |

PROBLEM
The existing engine mount can fail on certain 631G, 631G OEM and 637G Wheel Tractor Scrapers. If the existing engine mount fails it can cause on overload on the drive shaft carrier bearing. |

ACTION REQUIRED
Refer to the Service Manual if/as required. Replace engine mounts as follows. 1) Move machine to safe area and secure. - lower bowl to ground - set brakes - shut off main disconnect switch 2) Remove main drive shaft from back of engine. 3) Remove rear hood. 4) Remove top caps from the engine mounts (front and rear) 5) Remove the rear belly pan. 6) Raise engine just enough to clear engine mount saddles. 7) Remove engine mount adapter from cab side of engine. 8) Swing engine to left side and remove hydraulic tank side engine mount. 9) Use a cut off wheel to remove mounts from adapter. 10) Install new mount (8N-0111) to each adapter. 11) Install mount to hydraulic tank side of engine. Tighten bolts to correct torque. 12) Install mount to cab side of engine. Tighten bolts to correct torque. 13) Set engine back into mount saddles. 14) Raise front of engine enough to slide in new front mounts (9W-9930). Note; it may be required to remove fan hub bolts to gain necessary clearance to install new front mounts. 15) Secure front of engine. Tighten bolts to correct torque. 16) Inspect condition of driveshaft carrier bearing. Replace bearings as required. 17) Check drive shaft alignment. Shim as required. 18) Secure caps on rear engine mounts. Tighten bolts to correct torque. 19) Connect air filter hose. 20) Install rear hood. 21 Install drive shaft. 22) Install rear belly pan. 23) Return machine to service. Torque values for hardware 3/8"-16 47 +/- 9 Nm (35 +/- 7 ft-lb) 1/2"-13 105 +/- 20 Nm (78 +/- 15 ft-lb) 5/8"-11 215 +/- 40 Nm (160 +/- 30 ft-lb) 3/4"-10 370 +/- 50 Nm (270 +/- 35 ft-lb) 7/8"-9 620 +/- 80 Nm (460 +/- 60 ft-lb) |
