Crankcase Pressure Contactor - Test
To ensure that the crankcase pressure contactor is operating properly, perform this test during engine operation.
- Disconnect hose (2) from the engine block.

- Apply low pressure air into the hose in order to activate contactor (1). The pressure must be at least 1 kPa (4 inches of H2O) higher than the ambient air pressure.
If the contactor is operating properly, an engine shutdown is initiated.
- Reconnect hose (1). Make sure that the hose has a constant downward slope.
If the engine shutdown is not initiated, there may be a problem with the hose, the contactor, and/or the wiring for the contactor.
