Number 5 LED is Blinking - Troubleshoot

This condition indicates that there is a problem with the "Alarm Level" switch.

Indication of the Condition

  • The red number 5 LED is flashing.

  • No other LED is illuminated.

Probable Causes

  • The "Alarm Level" switch is faulty.

Recommended Repairs

  1. Replace the electronic module. For instructions, see the Testing and Adjusting, "Repair Procedure" section.

  1. After the electronic module has been replaced, test the performance of the detector. See the Testing and Adjusting, "Performance Tests".

    Expected Result

    The number 5 LED is no longer flashing. The detector is operating normally.

    Results

    OK - The detector is operating normally.

    Not OK - Reset the system again. Troubleshoot any active faults.

Note: The number 6 LED is not used for faults. This is a spare indicator.
