Note: Repairs or adjustments to the turbocharger should be done by properly trained personnel.
- Inspect the air filter element for excessive dirt.
- Make sure that a restriction does not exist between the air filter element and the turbocharger.
- Make sure that a restriction does not exist between the turbocharger and the air inlet manifold.
- Make sure that all bolts and clamps are tight.
- Inspect the turbine housing (2) and the compressor housing (3) for damage.
- Make sure that a restriction does not exist in the oil supply line (1) for the bearings .
- Make sure that a restriction does not exist in the oil drain line (4) .
- Inspect inside the compressor housing and the turbine housing for excessive dirt
- Check the bearings of the turbocharger for wear.
- Inspect the turbine fan for wear or for damage.
- Check the compressor impeller for wear or for damage.
