Start By:
- Remove the main hydraulic pump. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Main Hydraulic Pump - Remove".
NOTICE |
---|
Keep all parts clean from contaminants. Contamination of the hydraulic system with foreign material will reduce the service life of the hydraulic system components. To prevent contaminants from entering the hydraulic system, always plug or cap the lines, fittings, or hoses as they are disconnected. Cover any disassembled components and clean them properly before assembly. Clean the hydraulic system properly after any major component exchange or especially after a component failure, to remove any contamination. |

- Remove remaining bolts (3) .
- Use Tooling (B) and a suitable lifting device in order to remove flywheel (4) from the flywheel housing. The weight of flywheel (4) is approximately 54 kg (120 lb).
- Check the condition of ring gear (5). Replace ring gear (5) with a new part if ring gear (5) is worn or damaged.
Note: Identify the orientation of ring gear (5) on flywheel (4) for the correct positioning when the new ring gear (5) is installed.
