Removal Procedure

Start By:

1. Remove the seat. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Seat - Remove and Install".

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable (1). Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Battery or Battery Cable - Inspect/Replace".

2. Remove plate (1) .

4. Disconnect harness assembly (3) .

5. Remove nut (4) and disconnect cable assembly (5) .

6. Remove bolts (7) and electric starting motor (6) .

Installation Procedure

1. Position electric starting motor (6) and install bolts (7) .

2. Connect cable assembly (5) and tighten nut (4) to a torque of 10 N·m (89 lb in).

3. Connect harness assembly (3) .

5. Install plate (1) .

6. Connect the negative battery cable (1). Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Battery or Battery Cable - Inspect/Replace".

End By: Install the seat. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Seat - Remove and Install".
