Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before assembly, all parts should be thoroughly cleaned in cleaning fluid. Allow the parts to air dry. Wiping cloths or rags should not be used to dry parts. Lint may be deposited on the parts which may cause later trouble. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement.

  1. Use a suitable lifting device to position transmission (3), as shown. The weight of transmission (3) is approximately 136 kg (300 lb).

  2. Install bolts (8). Tighten bolts (8) to a torque of 79 N·m (58 lb ft).

  3. Use Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to position rear axle (5) and transmission (3) under the machine. The weight of rear axle (5) and transmission (3) is approximately 794 kg (1750 lb).

  4. Install nuts (6) and connect hose assembly (7).

  5. Connect harness assembly (2).

  6. Connect hose assemblies (1).

  7. Fill the rear axle with clean oil. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Axle Oil (Rear) - Change".

End By:

  1. Install the rear tires and rims. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Tire and Rim - Install".

  2. Install the travel motor. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Travel Motor - Install".
