Description of Change: A test ECM is now available. The test ECM will improve troubleshooting. The test ECM is not available through the Caterpillar Parts System. The test ECM must be ordered directly from E&ES Commercial Electronic Systems.

Adaptable To: There is a test ECM now available for troubleshooting assistance with the 212-9450 Engine Electronic Control Gp, 172-0802 Engine Electronic Control Gp, 156-7172 Engine Electronic Control Gp, 212-9449 Engine Electronic Control Gp and 145-7805 Engine Electronic Control Gp .

To encourage the use of the test ECM, the price is lower than typical retail prices.

To place an order or retrieve the Test ECM wash file for your Test ECM contact your Technical Communicator (TC). Create all faxes on Cat Dealership letterhead. Make the FAX out to E&ES Commercial Electronic Systems Attn: Test ECM.
