Muffler - Remove and Install

- Remove the screen in order to remove bolts (1) and (2) .

- Fasten Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to cover (3). Attach a suitable strap around the lifting device and the top of the exhaust pipe, as shown. This will help balance the assembly during removal. Remove bolts (4) .
- Remove cover (3). The weight of cover (3) is approximately 50 kg (110 lb).
- Fasten a suitable lifting device to muffler (5). The weight of muffler (5) is approximately 47 kg (105 lb).

- Remove bolts (6). Loosen clamps (7) and (8). Remove elbow (9) .

- Remove muffler (5) .
Installation Procedure

- Use a suitable lifting device in order to install muffler (5). The weight of muffler (5) is approximately 48 kg (105 lb).

- Install elbow (9). Tighten clamps (7) and (8). Install bolts (6) that hold muffler (5) in position.

- Use Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device in order to install cover (3). Attach a suitable strap around the lifting device and the top of the exhaust pipe, as shown. This will help balance the assembly during installation. Install cover (3). The weight of cover (3) is approximately 50 kg (110 lb). Install bolts (4). Install bolts (1) and (2) .
