SUBJECT: PREMATURE WEAR OF THE CHAIN IDLER GROUP

PROBLEM:

Reports of premature wear of the 179-6320 Chain Idler Gp for the T9 Trencher and the T15 Trencher have been received.

SOLUTION:

Premature wear of the 179-6320 Chain Idler Gp can take place under certain adverse conditions; however, premature wear can be counteracted through increased attention to cleaning and lubrication.

When significant wear has occurred, it will be necessary to rework the idler group, by replacing all of the piece parts in the entire group. Following the rework, cleaning and lubricating on a daily basis are essential to maximize the service life of the idler group parts.
