NOTE: | This Program must be administered either before or after failure. In either case the decision whether to apply the Program is made by the dealer. When reporting the repair, use "PS45393" as the Part Number and "7755" as the Group Number. If administered before failure, use "56" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and "T" as the SIMS Description code. If administered after failure, use "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code, and "Z" as the SIMS Description Code. |

PROBLEM
The existing throttle cable bracket can damage the chassis harness on certain 301.7D CR Mini Hydraulic Excavators. If the existing chassis harness fails, it can cause a fuse to blow or the machine may not start. |

Note: 1.0 hours is allowed for Before Failure repair that includes rerouting of the existing harness. Note: An additional 9.0 hours for a total of 10.0 hours is allowed for an After Failure repair. An After Failure repair includes rerouting and may include replacement of the 438-8571 Chassis Wiring Harness. |

Note: Ensure that all safety information, warnings, and instructions are read and understood before any operation or any maintenance procedures are performed. Refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual "Safety Section". Refer to the Service Manual if/as necessary. Preparation of the Machine for Rework: A. Park the machine on firm level ground. B. Stop the engine and turn the start switch to the "OFF" position. C. Secure the machine from moving. D. Disconnect the battery. |
Rerouting the Chassis Harness: 1. Remove the tie straps and clip securing the 438-8571 Harness to the 426-8967 Bracket. Refer to Image 1.2.1. |

2. Measure and record the length of thread on the accelerator cable. Use this length in Step 5 in order to assemble the cable with the same adjustment. Loosen the nuts of the accelerator cable and remove the cable from the bracket. |
3. Remove two 8T-4189 Bolts and the accelerator cable 426-8967 Bracket. Refer to Image1.4.1. |

4. Assemble the new accelerator cable 510-2553 Bracket with two 8T-4189 Bolts, two 372-1078 Lock Washers and two 8T-4224 Flat Washers. Tighten the bolts to a specified torque of 25 N.m. Refer to Image1.5.1. |

5. Use the nuts on the accelerator cable to assemble the accelerator cable to the bracket according to the measurement from previous Step 2. |
6. Replace the hex head bolt with 381-2828 Socket Head Bolt (7) and 372-1072 Bevel Washer (9). Reuse 372-7358 Clip (6) and 8T-4224 Flat Washer (8). Refer to Images1.7.1 and 1.7.2. |

7. Secure the harness to the accelerator cable bracket with new 3S-2093 Cable Straps. Refer to Image1.8.1. |

8. Secure the harness to the accelerator cable bracket with 372-7358 Clip, 5W-1417 Washer, 8T-4138 Bolt, and 129-3178 Lock Nut. |
9. Secure unused connectors with a 3S-2093 Cable Strap, if necessary, depending on configuration. |
10. Replace the cable tie with 7X-2537 Bolt, 372-7358 Clip, two 8T-4224 Washers, and 3T-0852 Lock Nut. Refer to Image1.11.1. |
