The existing 392-0248/392-0348/392-0292 Boom nose bracket may crack along with tube block on certain 313D2L Hydraulic Excavators. If the existing 392-0248/392-0348/392-0292 Boom experiences a boom nose bracket crack issue, it will impact the machine performance. |

Protect the machined surfaces from sparks and weld deposits. 5. Measure of crack length of outside and inside Refer to Image1.2.1 - If the crack length of the outside and inside is Max 12.5, proceed to Step 6. - If the crack length is more 12.5mm, replace boom nose bracket, Order the 477-9380 Boom Nose Bracket Assembly and replace it according to SEHS0068, Special Instruction, "Procedure to Replace the Bracket Assembly of the Boom Nose on Reach Booms for Certain D Series, E Series and F Series Excavators". |

6. Use an air carbon arc torch in order to gouge out the block and crack completely. Refer to Image1.2.2. |

7. Use a grinder in order to check the crack. 8. Use the dye penetrate to inspect the gouged area in order to ensure that the crack has been removed. Be sure to clean the prepared groove before welding. 9. Weld the gouged groove with enough penetration. Tie-in to each plate with the proper weld penetration. Refer to the data for the weld passes in Image1.4.1. |
