After Starting Engine
附註在引擎安裝或改裝之後要嚴密監視，以檢測引擎性能是否有任何異常的情況。
- 在低怠速操作引擎兩至三分鐘。 在增加引擎轉速到額定轉速之前，讓水套水的溫度開始升高。
附註當周圍環境溫度低於
-18°C (0°F) 時，可能需要更長一些時間升溫。 - 關斷空氣起動馬達 (如有配備) 的空氣供給。
- 進行其他的繞行檢查。 檢查引擎是否有液體和空氣的洩漏。
附註關於被傳動設備的接合，請參閱船隻原廠提供的文件。
- 請確認引擎轉速的儀錶處於正常的範圍。 確認引擎系統正常後，請接合被傳動設備。
在低負載下開始操作引擎。 繼續檢查儀錶和被傳動設備。 以低負載操作引擎，直到引擎達到正常的工作溫度。 船隻在進入開放水域前，引擎應達到工作溫度。
引擎在低轉速和低功率需求下運轉，會較快達到正常的工作溫度。 此程序比引擎在無負載空轉更有效。
- 在達到正常油壓及水套水溫度上升後，引擎可以全載操作。 如有需要，請增加負載。
