Slow Return Valves(Group 1 and Group 2 Only)
There is a slow return valve in the hydraulic system for the boom cylinder retract. There is a slow return valve in the hydraulic system for the stick cylinder extend. These two valves adjust the travel speed of the boom and stick.
- Check valve (S) adjusts the hydraulic system for the stick cylinder extend.
- Check valve (T), adjusts the hydraulic system for the boom cylinder retract.
- In order to adjust the check valve, position spanner wrench (V) at location (U) on the check valve. Position spanner wrench (X) at location (W) on the check valve.
- Raise the boom to the maximum height.
- Measure the amount of time for the movement from the boom cylinder extended to a height that is 2.0 m (6.5 ft) from the ground. Refer to Table 2 to dertermine the correct time for your machine.
(V) 70mm Spanner Wrench
(X) 50mm Spanner Wrench
NOTE: The following adjustment procedure
requires a tape measure and a stopwatch. Position the machine on flat ground.
The temperature of the hydraulic oil should be 55° ± 5°C
(131° ± 9°F). Move the engine speed dial to the 10 position.
Boom Cylinder Extended To - (Y) 2.0 m (6.5 ft)
Group 1 | 3.7 ± 0.3 seconds |
Group 2, Group 3, Group 4 | 4.2 ± 0.3 seconds |
Stick Cylinder Extented to Fully retracted
- Raise the boom to the maximum height.
- Measure the amount of time for the movement from the stick cylinder retracted position to the stick cylinder extended position. Refer to Table 3 to dertermine the correct time for your machine.
Group 1 | 4.7 ± 0.3 seconds |
Group 2, Group 3, Group 4 | 5.3 + 0.3 seconds |
