The rotary manifold allows the Pulverizer to rotate 360 degrees which protects the hydraulic lines of the arm cylinder from damage. The rotary manifold provides the necessary transfer of hydraulic oil to the lower portion of the Pulverizer.
Oil flows through port (2) into cavity (1). Oil then flows through passage (3) to port (7). The oil then flows to the arm cylinders.
When port (5) is pressurized, hydraulic oil enters cavity (4). Oil then flows through passage (6) to port (8). The oil then flows to the arm cylinders.
The upper portion of the rotary manifold remains stationary when the Pulverizer is rotating. The lower portion of the rotary manifold is bolted to a flange on the lower pulverizer housing. The lower portion moves with the rotation.
