a. Prepare the machine for maintenance. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Prepare the Machine for Maintenance".
- Remove the bolts from the tread plates, and store the bolts for reuse.
- Remove the tread plates, and store the plates for reuse.

- Clean the grease fittings for the hydraulic cylinder and the pivot shaft, and lubricate the cylinder and the shaft through the fittings.

- Install the tread plates.
- Install the bolts for the tread plates, and tighten the bolts to the proper torque.
