Start By:

  1. Remove the control valve (auxiliary).


NOTICE

Keep all parts clean from contaminants.

Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.



NOTICE

Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.

Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat® products.

Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.

  1. Disconnect harness assembly (6) from all solenoid assemblies and sensor assemblies. Reposition harness assembly (6) out of the way.

  2. Disconnect all hose assemblies (1), (2), (3), (4), (5), and (7).

  3. Disconnect all hose assemblies (8), (9), (10), (11), and (12) from the back of the control valve.

  4. Remove bolts (14) and manifold (13).

  5. Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to main control valve (15). The weight of main control valve (15) is approximately 75 kg (165 lb). Remove bolts (16) and main control valve (15).

Installation Procedure

  1. Install main control valve (15) in the reverse order of removal.
