Introduction
This Special Instruction contains the procedure to replace the 180-5316 Circulating Fan Gp with the 5D-2856 Circulating Fan Gp.
Do not perform any procedure in this Special Instruction until you have read the information and you understand the information.

Before servicing/performing maintenance on the machine, electrical power must be physically disconnected; battery plugs must be disconnected from the batteries, or the trailing cable must be unplugged, and warning tags and padlocks shall be applied by a certified electrician. Certified electricians shall perform or direct any electrical work, including any energized testing, repair work in controllers, motors, or other approved compartments, and shall insure that all compartments are properly closed and inspected prior to re-energization. All applicable lock out and tag out procedures must be followed. |

Installation Procedure
- Remove and save the 180-5316 Circulating Fan Gp (A) and fasteners from the cab.

(D) Black wire - Cut the green (B), brown (C), and black (D) color wires close to the fan motor.

(G) Nut - Remove the mounting bracket (E) from the 180-5316 Circulating Fan Gp (A) by loosening the bolt (F) and nut (G). Save the bracket and hardware.

(M) Nut - On the 5D-2856 Circulating Fan Gp (1) cut the red (K) and orange (H) color wires approximately
51 mm (2.0 inch) from the mounting bracket. - Remove the mounting bracket (J) from the 5D-2856 Circulating Fan Gp (1) by loosening the bolt (L) and nut (M). Discard the bracket and hardware.

(G) Nut - Install the bracket (E) to the 5D-2856 Circulating Fan Gp (1) using the bolt (F) and nut (G) which was saved in Step 3.

(K) Red wire - Splice the wires from red (K) to green (B) color wire, from orange (H) to brown (C) color wire, and black (D) color wire to the ground.
- Plug the fan connector to the cab harness and mount the 5D-2856 Circulating Fan Gp (1) to the cab by using hardware which was saved in Step 1.
