SUBJECT: New Control Panel Hinge Available for Larne and Griffin Packaged 3406, 3456, and C18 Common Design Generator Sets

PROBLEM:

The plastic control panel hinge (236-0425 Hinge Assembly) has failed during transit from the packaging facility to the installation site.

SOLUTION:

A new metal hinge (271-9984 Hinge Assembly) has been released to replace the plastic hinge used during Larne and Griffin first production of 3406, 3456, and C18 common design generator set product.

The new 271-9984 Hinge Assembly will be available June 1, 2005. Production use of the 271-9984 Hinge Assembly will begin shortly after June 1, 2005.
