SUBJECT: C15 Slow Engine Deceleration

PROBLEM:

Some BXS C15 engines have experienced slow engine deceleration when the engine speed is above 1500 RPM, the throttle is completely released, the transmission is out of gear, and the compression brakes are not on. This is most noticeable during a transmission up-shift at engine speeds above 1500 rpm.

SOLUTION:

The software was changed to address this issue. Flash the ECM with new software. Refer to Table 1.
