Cooling System Plugs Caterpillar

Cooling System Plugs

Usage:

ENGINES3126B HEUI (3GS) MARINE ENGINES

Problem:

Some of these engines have been shipped with the water trapped in the cooling system. This could be a source of potential engine damage if the water in the cooling system freezes.

Solution:

Beginning with 3126B HEUI Marine Engine (3GS00300) several plugs will be removed from the cooling system before the engine is shipped from the factory. These plugs will be shipped loose in a plastic bag that will be fastened to the left side of the engine. Please install the plugs in the proper locations. The illustrations show the locations where the plugs should be installed.
