Problem:
A problem has been identified in which the Status Control Module resets all of its relays for 0.5 seconds after power up. This can result in the starter engaging and the fuel shutoff valve opening for 0.5 seconds. This problem only occurs when the Mode Control Switch is rotated from the STOP position to OFF/RESET position and back to STOP position quickly or the DC power is interrupted to the Status Control Module.
Solution:
It is recommended that the operator wait at least 2 seconds after turning the Mode Control Switch to the OFF/RESET position before rotating the switch to any other position (STOP, AUTO, etc.) It is also recommended that the operator or mechanic follow all applicable lock out and or tag out procedures before working on the engine.
