Electronic Control System Operation

本发动机是针对电子控制来设计的。 每一个气缸都有一个单体喷油器。 每一个喷油器上的一个电磁阀控制喷油器喷出的喷油量。 电子控制系统(ECM)向每一个喷油器电磁阀发出信号以便对喷油系统的操作进行完全控制。

电子控制装置

电子系统由以下部件组成:ECM、机械驱动电子控制的单体喷油器式喷油泵 (MEUI)、配线线束、开关和传感器。 ECM 是计算机。 闪存文件是此计算机的软件。 闪存文件中包含工况图。 工况图确定发动机的以下特性:

  • 功率

  • 扭矩曲线

ECM确定喷入气缸内的油量和喷油正时。 它们都是基于任一给定时间的实际状况和/或理想状况来确定的。

ECM 将发动机的期望转速与发动机的实际转速相比较。 发动机实际转速通过发动机转速/正时传感器的信号测定。 发动机的理想转速是由以下各项来决定的:

  • 油门位置传感器

  • 其它传感器的输入信号

  • 某些诊断代码

如果发动机的理想转速大于发动机的实际转速,ECM将会增加喷油量以便提高发动机的实际转速。

喷油

ECM通过改变传送到喷油器的信号来控制喷油量。 喷油器只在喷油器电磁阀被通电激励时才会泵油。 ECM向喷油器电磁阀发送高压信号。 此高压信号通电激励电磁阀。 通过控制该高压信号的正时和持续时间,ECM就可以控制喷油正时的喷油量。

一旦ECM确定了所需的油量,ECM就必须确定喷油正时。 ECM 从发动机转速/正时传感器的信号来确定每一缸的上止点的位置。 ECM决定相对每一缸上止点的位置何时应该开始喷油,ECM然后会在理想的时间向喷油器发出信号。 ECM会调整正时以便取得最佳发动机性能、最佳燃油经济性和最佳白烟控制。

可编程参数

可以使用 Cat® 电子技师(ET)来改变影响发动机运转的某些参数。 这些参数存储在ECM中,其中有些参数由密码保护,以防未经准许擅自改动。

密码

几个系统配置参数和大多数记录事件都由工厂密码保护。 工厂密码只供 Caterpillar 代理商使用。 更多有关信息资料,请参阅故障诊断与排除, "工厂密码"。
