(1) Engine Shutdown Switch

The engine shutdown switch (1) is on the lower right front side of the machine on the bumper.

Engine Shutdown Switch (1) - Use the engine shutdown switch to stop the engine from the ground level. To use the engine shutdown switch, raise the guard. Move the toggle switch to the OFF position to stop the engine. After the engine stops, lower the guard. Lowering the guard will turn the toggle switch to the ON position.

During normal operation, use the engine start switch to stop the engine.

The engine shutdown switch does not deactivate the machine electrical system.

Note: The engine shutdown switch does not release hydraulic pressure from the secondary steering system or hydraulic pressure from the automatic retarder control system. To release the hydraulic pressure, move the engine start switch to the OFF position. This will activate a solenoid valve to release the hydraulic pressure from the accumulators.
