Cat ® Fleet Onboard Software Version 3.1 Locks Up{7605}

Usage:

- DNG
Machine Control and Guidance Products:
CAT DETECT (S/N: DTK1-UP)
MINESTAR ONBRD (S/N: DNG1-UP)

Introduction

The problem that is identified below does not have a known permanent solution. Until a permanent solution is known, use the solution that is identified below.

Problem

Cat ® Fleet Onboard Software version 3.1 locks up when installed on a display previously having Object Detection standalone software installed.

Solution

For all machines using Fleet Onboard:

  • Remove any diagnostic keys present in the TopeConfig.txt file

  • Set PR2 Rates as follows:

  1. Position Time Interval =10 // time when the machine is stopped

  1. Position Distance Interval =500 // distance to travel to send

  1. Position Time Minimum Interval =2 // maximum 1 per this time

  • Allow the default zoom levels to be used by removing:

  1. Minimum Zoom Level =<Value>

  1. Maximum Zoom Level =<Value>

  1. Startup Zoom Level =<Value>

  • Remove key "IDesk Sample Time Interval In Sec =<Value>" if present

For Sites using Position Awareness:

  • Reduce AMP message rate in the office (Set to 1 message per second)

For Machines using Object Detection integrated with Fleet on a single display the amount of software lock-ups can be reduced by implementing the following:

  • CIODS Auto Switch Screen = 1 // Master Key

  • CIODS Auto Switch Reverse = 1 // Allows automatic camera switching when reverse gear is selected

  • CIODS Auto Switch Standby = 1 // Allows the Plan view to be automatically displayed when in standby mode

  • CIODS Auto Switch Gear = 0 // Automatic camera view will not be displayed when placed in forward gear
