Do not perform any of the following procedure until you have read and understand the material. The following procedure covers the installation of the 351-8997 Air Lines Gp .

1. Remove eight bolts (2) and eight washers (3) in order to remove the two bracket assemblies (1) .

2. Remove bolts (2), (6), and (8) with hard washers (3), and (7). Then remove the two gussets (5) and brackets (4) .

3. Remove bolts (9) with washers (3) from both sides of the elbow assemblies.

4. Remove the four v-band clamps (10) from the elbow assemblies.

6. Remove the elbow assemblies (12) from both sides of the engine.

Installation Procedure

Parts Required

Table 1 below contains the part numbers and quantities needed for installation of the new air lines group.

1. Install bracket assemblies (7) using four bolts (12) with four washers (3) on each bracket. Torque bolts (12) to 100 ± 20 N·m (75 ± 15 lb ft).

2. Install bracket assembly (5) on the left side using four bolts (10) with four washers (2). Install bracket assembly (6) on the right side using four bolts (10) with four washers (2). Torque bolts (10) to 55 ± 10 N·m (41 ± 7 lb ft).

3. Install elbow (8) on each side of the engine.

4. Attach the elbows (8) to support (14) using three bolts (11) and three lockwashers (1) on each side. Torque bolts (11) to 100 ± 20 N·m (75 ± 15 lb ft).

5. Attach elbow (8) to brackets assembly (5) using five bolts (12) with five hard washers (3). Attach elbow (8) to brackets assembly (6) using five bolts (12) with five hard washers (3). Torque bolts (12) to 100 ± 20 N·m (75 ± 15 lb ft).

6. Attach elbows (8) to bracket assemblies (7) using four bolts (9) and four washers (3) on each side. Torque bolts (9) to 100 ± 20 N·m (75 ± 15 lb ft).

7. Install v-band clamps (13) onto elbows (8) with two on each side. Torque v-band clamp to 20 N·m (177 lb in).

8. Install clamps (4) onto elbows (8) with two on each side. Torque clamps (4) to 12 N·m (106 lb in)
