This instruction gives the locations and the size of the connectors needed to make the Sea Trial Measurements for the above marine engines. Use this instruction along with Special Instruction Form SMHS7393, "INTRODUCTION TO SEA TRIAL MEASUREMENTS OF CATERPILLAR MARINE ENGINES", for the correct test procedures.
(1) Auxiliary Water Circuit-Pump Inlet Pressure (904) (in the inlet elbow, not shown).
(2) Auxiliary Water Circuit-Pump Outlet Pressure (905) (1/2"-14 pipe).
(3) Jacket Water Outlet Temperature (901) (1/2"-14 pipe).
(4) Jacket Water Pump Outlet Temperature (902) (1/4"-18 pipe).
(5) Intake Manifold Temperature (906) (1/2"-14 pipe). Intake Manifold Pressure (911) (1/2"-14 pipe).
(6) Air Inlet Restriction (907) (1/8"-27 pipe). Air Cleaner Outlet Temperature (930) (1/8"-27 pipe).
(7) Exhaust Stack Pressure (908) (1/2"-14 pipe). Exhaust Stack Temperature (912) (1/2"-14 pipe).
(8) Engine Oil Pressure (914) (1/4"-18 pipe).
(9) Aftercooler Water Inlet Pressure (923) (1/4"-18 pipe).
(10) Aftercooler Water Outlet Pressure (924) (1/4"-18 pipe).
