Usage:
(1) Remove the inlet line elbow. Cut a new elbow from 8K2961 Tube Assembly the same length as the former elbow. Weld a sleeve around the new elbow to fit into the original suction hose.
(2) Remove the inlet tube assembly. Cut a section from 6D9976 Tube Assembly 1.5" (38 mm) from the elbow. Cut the elbow off the former inlet tube assembly so it can be fitted into the new elbow. Fasten both pieces of tube to their respective locations. Tack weld the new elbow to the old tube. Remove the tube assembly and weld the joint all around.
(3) A new inlet line is needed. It can be fabricated from a 5D3718 Tube Assembly in a procedure similar to step number two. The new inlet tube assembly can be installed with the parts that follow: Two 1P4585 Flanges, one 2H6338 Seal, four S1589 Bolts and four 4B4281 Washers. The small discharge hose must be changed. A new .75" (19.0) fitting can be installed on the old hose in place of the former 1.0" (25.4) fitting.
(4) A 1V1786 Tube Assembly with modifications similar to step 2 can be used for the inlet line. The small discharge tube adapter must be changed. Use a 4S4682 Cover to make the new adapter. Use a .56" Ø (14.2 Ø) drill bit to make a hole through the center of the 4S4682 Cover. Make pipe threads in this hole with a 3/8"-18 tap.
(5) The small discharge hose must be changed as in step 3.
