Usage:
(1) Remove bolts (1) from retainer (2).
(2) Use bolts (1) and washers (3) to install support (4). Tighten bolts (1) to the torque shown on the chart on page one.
(3) Remove all except four bolts (5) from the clutch housing so the four bolts are at 90° intervals. Turn leveling screws (6) until they make contact with base (7). Install shims (8) as needed to fill the gap between support (4) and base (7); install and tighten bolts (9), the lockwashers and nuts.
(4) Loosen the four bolts (5) that hold the clutch housing to the flywheel housing; loosen leveling screws (6). Use a feeler gauge at (A) and (B) to check the gap between the clutch and flywheel housings. Maximum permissible gap at the top is .000" (000) and at the bottom .005" (.127).
(5) If gaps (A) and (B) are not correct, loosen bolts (9) and add or subtract shims (8) as needed; use screws (6) to make shim installation easier; turn each screw (6) an equal distance after contact with base (7).
(6) Loosen leveling screws (6) and tighten bolts (9) to base (7). Again check gaps (A) and (B). If the gaps are not correct, do step 5 again. When the gaps are correct, see step 7.
(7) Tighten the four bolts (5). Install and tighten the remainder of the bolts between the clutch housing and the flywheel housing.
