Instructions To Remove Crankshaft Wear Sleeve
1. Use the 121-7700 Distorter Block with 5P-7409 Distorter.
2. Install distorter block directly to the engine housing using one of the cover mounting holes.
3. The tools work together to make an indentation in the sleeve which helps to loosen the sleeve from the crankshaft.
4. Rotate distorter tool between the distorter block and the wear sleeve to create an indentation in the metal. This is similar to using a hammer and chisel to make the indentation.
5. By making four indentations around the crankshaft wear sleeve, this should allow the wear sleeve to easily slide off the crankshaft.
Instructions To Install Crankshaft Wear Sleeve
1. Install wear sleeve into 121-7702 Wear Sleeve Installer.
2. Thread four 121-7705 Stud Assemblies into the crankshaft.
3. Install wear sleeve and wear sleeve installer onto the studs.
4. Install 5P-8245 Washers and 1F-7958 Nuts.
5. Tighten nuts to pull the wear sleeve onto the crankshaft.
6. When the inside face of the wear sleeve installer bottoms against the end of the crankshaft, the wear sleeve is installed to the correct depth.
