The 7X1400 Digital Diagnostic Tool Group is the basic electronics for digital diagnostics which communicate over the Caterpillar Data Link. This DDT Group, used with NEXG4511 Service Program Module (SPM), provides basic diagnostic, vehicle and engine status, and calibration displays for the electronic controls on SI Engines. It also displays and allows for the modification of the Customer Specified Parameters. Ordering Form Number NEXG4511 will provide you with a SPM plus all updates during the subscription year.
The 7X1400 Digital Diagnostic Tool Group plus the NEXG4511 SPM replace the former 8C9904 Digital Diagnostic Tool which has been canceled.
The 7X6170 Adapter Cable Assembly, which is included in the group, is needed to supply power to the digital diagnostic tool and allow it to communicate to the electronic control.
