当故障诊断和排除步骤指出需要“修理或更换线束”时，请使用正在维修的机器的电气系统示意图来追查电路。 执行线束接头的导通性检查，确定线束故障位置。 务必检查部件接头上的接地电路。 在任何系统接地和机架接地之间，电阻必须小于五欧姆。 大于五欧姆的过大接地电阻会导致故障诊断发生错误。
故障诊断和排除过程中，在更换任何部件之前应先检查所有连接。 如果这些连接不清洁、不牢固，则可能会导致永久性电气故障或间歇性电气故障。 检查并确认已将导线完全推入接头中。 在进行其它测试之前，确保所有连接牢固。
利用 8T-0065 RTV 硅密封胶密封损坏的导线。 在密封胶上缠上两层 1P-0810 胶带。
一个电气部件的故障可能会导致其他部件出现故障。 同样，一个电气部件的故障可能是由其他部件的故障引起的。 在更换部件之前，务必先尝试排除电气系统故障的原因。
当从任何 ECM 上拆卸机器线束时，需使用线束接头中央的单螺钉。
