Usage:
Start By:
a. remove water pump
b. remove oil pump
1. Remove bolts (1). Remove adapter assembly (2) and the gears from the front drive housing as a unit.
2. Remove bolts (4) and adapter assembly (3).
NOTE: The following steps are for installation of the oil and water pump drive.
3. Make sure the O-ring seal is in position on adapter assembly (3) and put clean engine oil on it.
4. Install adapter assembly (3) and bolts (4).
5. Make sure the O-ring seals are in position on adapter assembly (2) and put clean engine oil on them.
6. Install the gears and adapter assembly (2) as a unit. Make sure the drive gear is engaged correctly with the idler gear and install bolts (1).

b. install water pump
Disassemble And Assemble Oil And Water Pump Drive
Start By:
a. remove oil and water pump drive
1. Remove O-ring seal (4).
2. Remove the bolts, retaining washers (2) and adapter (3) from shaft assembly (1).
3. Remove O-ring seals (6) and (7).
4. Use a press and tooling (A) to remove bearing (5).
5. Remove bolts (9) and gears (8) and (10).
6. Remove O-ring seal (13).
7. Use a press and tooling (A) to remove bearing (11).
NOTE: The following steps are for assembly of the oil and water pump drive.
8. Make an alignment of the oil hole in bearing (11) and the oil hole in adapter (12). Use a press and tooling (A) to install bearing (11). Check the bore in the bearing after assembly. The bore in the bearing must be 75.000 ± 0.055 mm (2.9528 ± .0022 in).
9. Install O-ring seal (13).
10. Install gears (10) and (8) and bolts (9).
11. Make an alignment of the oil hole in bearing (5) and the oil hole in adapter (3). Use a press and tooling (A) to install bearing (5). Check the bore in the bearing after assembly. The bore in the bearing must be 75.000 ± 0.055 mm (2.9528 ± .0022 in).
12. Install O-ring seals (6) and (7).
13. Install adapter (3), washers (2), and the bolts on shaft assembly (1).
14. Install O-ring seal (4).
