Gear Pump (Steering and Vibratory) - Disassemble

Usage:

CS-323C 1EN

Disassembly Procedure

Start By:

  1. Remove the vibratory and steering pump. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Gear Pump (Steering and Vibratory) - Remove".

Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before you begin the disassembly procedure, the exterior of the components should be thoroughly cleaned. This will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism. Precision components can be damaged by contaminants or by dirt. Perform the disassembly procedures on a clean work surface. Keep components covered and protected at all times.

Note: In some cases, it may not be economical or it may not be practical to recondition a pump. This determination is made after disassembly and a close inspection of the pump components. Due to wear, reconditioning may not be possible. If the cost of reconditioning a pump exceeds the cost of a remanufactured pump, the pump should be replaced with a remanufactured pump instead of a reconditioned pump.
