Steering pilot gear pump (2) is located in the pump area behind the operators cab and attached to the end of steering piston pump (1). Pump (2) is a gear pump that supplies pressure oil to the steering pilot system.
In addition, steering pilot gear pump (2) circulates the oil in the hydraulic tank for the steering and brake systems. The oil is circulated through an oil filter in order to remove contamination in the system. The oil is also circulated through an oil cooler in order to help prevent overheating in the steering system and the brake systems.
