Fuel Tank - Remove and Install

Removal Procedure

Start By:

  1. Remove the cab.

  2. Remove the piston pumps (hydrostatic).

  3. Remove the piston pumps (implement).

  4. Remove the main control valve.

  5. Remove the diesel exhaust fluid pump.

  6. Remove the diesel exhaust fluid tank.

------ WARNING! ------

Fuel leaked or spilled onto hot surfaces or electrical components can cause a fire. To help prevent possible injury, turn the start switch off when changing fuel filters or water separator elements. Clean up fuel spills immediately.

  1. Loosen clamp (3) and disconnect hose (4).

  2. Remove bolts (1) from bracket assembly (2).

  3. Loosen clamp (5) and disconnect hose (6).

  4. Attach suitable lifting device and Tooling (A) to bracket assembly (2). The weight of bracket assembly (2) is approximately 29 kg (65 lb). Remove bracket assembly (2).

  5. Remove bolt (7) and position the bracket and the hose assemblies out of the way.

  6. Remove clip assembly (8) and clips (9).

  7. Remove bolts (13) and hose assemblies (12).

  8. Remove bolts (10), the clips, and the tube assemblies (11).

  9. Remove clip (14) and plate assemblies (15).

  10. Disconnect harness assembly (16), hose assembly (17), and hose (18).

  11. Disconnect hose assemblies (19).

  12. Remove elbow adapters (21).

  13. Remove bolts (20) and bracket assembly (22).

  14. Repeat Step11 through Step 13 for the opposite side.

  15. Remove bolts (24) and brackets (23).

  16. Attach Tooling (C), Tooling (B), and suitable lifting device to fuel tank (25). The weight of fuel tank (25) is approximately 204 kg (450 lb).

Installation Procedure

  1. Install fuel tank (25) in the reverse order of removal.
