This article provides a brief description of fixes that have been made to the VIMSpc99 software. This version of VIMSpc99 software FERV0066 replaces the version 1.1.5 of VIMSpc99.
The following fixes have been incorporated into this version of VIMSpc99:
- The inability to install the source and configuration software on a blank (new) VIMS main module (hardware version 2.0 or 3.0) has been corrected. The VIMS main module is blank if the onboard software has never been installed. The VIMS main module will also become a blank module if the user stops a installation of a software upgrade by clicking on the "Cancel" button.
- The "transfer of data function" has been corrected. The transfer database will no longer be deleted when an error occurs during the transfer of data from the transfer database to the local database. Now, the transfer database is deleted only when an error occurs while transferring data from the local database to the transfer database. If the local database has been deleted, the transfer file will be incomplete. The file will be unusable.
- The cause of the occasional "User Preferences Failed" error, which prevented the user from using the VIMSpc99 application has been corrected.
- The largest difference in time that is allowed between the "VIMS clock" and the "PC clock" in the "System Preferences dialog box" is now 9999. This new limit prevents an "Overflow error message" from occurring when the user saves the setting.
