Description of Change: New shafts in water pump groups have increased depth of threaded hole. This increased depth of threaded hole will provide increased torsional strength of the shaft. New bolts are available for the new shafts.

Note: If a new pump shaft is ordered, always include the longer bolt with the order.

Adaptable To: The new 170-6676 Shaft (Sea Water) replaces the former 7E-4364 Shaft (Sea Water). The former 7E-4364 Shaft is cancelled. The new 170-6676 Shaft uses a new 174-3367 Bolt. The new 174-3367 Bolt replaces the 8T-1812 Bolt. The new 170-6678 Shaft (Basic) replaces the former 7E-4357 Shaft (Basic). The former 7E-4357 Shaft is cancelled. The new 170-6678 Shaft uses a new 1D-4623 Bolt. The new 1D-4623 Bolt replaces the 3B-2968 Bolt. Table 1 lists all engine models and associated pump groups.
