Start By:

  1. Separate the track assembly. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Track - Separate".

Note: The procedure to remove the right hand final drive sprocket and the procedure to remove the left hand sprocket is identical. The procedure that follows is for one of the sprockets.

    Note: Adjust the height of Tooling (A) so that there is sufficient clearance between the sprocket and the track links for the removal of the sprocket from the final drive.

  1. Lift the side of the machine in order to install Tooling (A) under the frame, as shown.

  1. Use Tooling (B) to remove bolts (1) and the washers that fasten the sprocket to the final drive.

  1. Remove cork plugs (2). Use two M24x3.0mm forcing screws to separate the sprocket from the final drive.

  1. Attach a suitable lifting device to sprocket (3), as shown. Remove sprocket (3). The weight of sprocket (3) is approximately 75 kg (165 lb).

Note: The procedure to install the right hand sprocket and the procedure to install the left hand sprocket is identical. The procedure that follows is for one of the sprockets.

  1. Thoroughly clean the mating surfaces of the sprocket and the final drive.

  1. Attach a suitable lifting device to sprocket (3). The weight of sprocket (3) is approximately 75 kg (165 lb). Position sprocket (3) on the final drive, as shown.

  1. Install cork plugs (2) .

  1. Apply Tooling (C) to bolts (1). Install bolts (1). Use Tooling (B) to tighten bolts (1) in a crisscross sequence to a torque of 900 ± 100 N·m (660 ± 75 lb ft).

  1. Lift the side of the machine in order to remove Tooling (A). Lower the machine to the ground.

End By: Connect the track assembly. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Track - Connect".
