---|---|---|---|
Tool     | Part Number     | Part Description     | Qty     |
A     | 138-7574     | Link Bracket     | 1     |
B     | -     | M20x2.5x458mm (18 inch) Threaded Rod     | 2     |
- Thoroughly clean the mating surfaces of the travel motor and the final drive.
Note: The procedure to install the right hand travel motor and the procedure to install the left hand travel motor is identical. The procedure that follows is for one of the travel motors.
- Replace the O-ring seal (6) that is used between the travel motor and the final drive.

- Apply clean hydraulic oil on the O-ring seal (6) and install O-ring seal (6) in the final drive.
- Install coupling (7) . Ensure that the counterbore of coupling (7) is facing toward the drive motor.
- Carefully push travel motor (5) onto Tooling (B) , as shown.

Typical example |
- Remove a bolt from the cover on the travel motor in order to install Tooling (A) .
Illustration 3 | g00633128 |
- Slide travel motor (5) into the final drive.
- Install two of the bolts that secures the travel motor to the final drive.
Illustration 4 | g00633125 |
- Remove Tooling (B) and install bolts (3) and (4) .
- Remove Tooling (A) and reinstall the bolt to the cover.
- Remove the plugs from the ends of hose assemblies (1) and (2) .
Illustration 5 | g00633124 |
- Connect hose assemblies (1) and (2) to the travel motor.
- Fill the final drive with hydraulic oil to the correct level.
ReferenceRefer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Lubricant Viscosities" for the proper oil viscosity.
ReferenceRefer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Refill Capacities" for the correct amount.
ReferenceRefer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Final Drive Oil Level - Check" for the correct filling procedure.
NOTICE |
---|
To avoid system damage, make sure that the hydraulic motor is properly filled with hydraulic oil before start-up. |
- Install high efficiency filters in place of the pilot filter, the case drain filter, and the return filter.
Note: High efficiency filters should not be run for more than 250 hours before you change back to the standard filters.
- Obtain a hydraulic oil sample from the main S·O·S port.
ReferenceRefer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Sampling Interval and Location of Sampling Valve" for the correct location.
- If the S·O·S sample exceeds ISO 18/15, flush the hydraulic system.
End By: Install the travel brake valve. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Counterbalance Valve (Travel) - Install" in this manual.
