(1) Clean the rubber toric seals and dry the rubber toric seals. Clean all of the surfaces that are in contact with the rubber toric seals and dry all of the surfaces that are in contact with the rubber toric seals. Put a thin layer of oil on the surfaces of the metal seals that are in contact with the rubber toric seals just before installation. The seal must be assembled square with the bore. The rubber toric seal must not bulge and the rubber toric seal must not be twisted.
(2) Torque for the gauge ... 45 ± 6 N·m (33 ± 4 lb ft)
(3) The torque for the two bolts ... 300 ± 40 N·m (220 ± 30 lb ft)
(4) Outside diameter of a new pinion housing ... 197.58 ± 0.08 mm (7.779 ± 0.003 inch)
(4) Inside diameter of a new bearing ... 197.96 ± 0.13 mm (7.794 ± 0.005 inch)
(5) Outside diameter of a new trunnion ... 88.82 ± 0.08 mm (3.497 ± 0.003 inch)
(5) Inside diameter of a new bearing ... 89.92 ± 0.20 mm (3.540 ± 0.008 inch)
(6) The torque for the four bolts ... 300 ± 40 N·m (220 ± 30 lb ft)
(7) The torque for the eight bolts ... 120 ± 20 N·m (90 ± 15 lb ft)
(8) Torque for the pressure relief fitting ... 18 ± 4 N·m (13 ± 3 lb ft)
(9) Torque for the two purging screws for the brakes ... 11 ± 4 N·m (8 ± 3 lb ft)
(10) Torque for the twelve bolts ... 300 ± 40 N·m (220 ± 30 lb ft)
(11) Torque for the three plugs ... 90 ± 15 kPa (13 ± 2 psi)
