- The weights that are listed in Table 1 and the instructions that are listed below describe the units that are manufactured by Caterpillar Inc.
- The parking brake must be engaged before you sling the machine. Engage the parking brake before you secure the machine with tie-downs.
- Use properly rated cables and properly rated slings for lifting. Position the crane for a level machine lift. Position the slings beneath the front of the track and the rear of the track. On corners that are sharp, use corner protectors.
- The spreader bars should be wide enough to prevent contact with the machine.
- Tie-down positions
- Use the eye of the towing device for the front tie-down.
- Use the inside edge of the track shoe for the side tie-down.
- Use the outside edge of the track shoe for the rear tie-down.
- Use the eye of the towing device for the front tie-down.
Check the local laws and the state laws that govern the following load characteristics.
