  7. Position cover (13) over Tooling (B) (not shown). Remove Tooling (B) (not shown) one at a time and insert three bolts (12) and the washers. Tighten three bolts (12) to a torque of 370 ± 50 N·m (272.9 ± 36.9 lb ft).

Note: The left hoist cylinder and the right hoist cylinder are identical, but the left hoist cylinder may be equipped with two quick couplers. The quick couplers are used to dump a load if the truck is disabled.

  8. If necessary, install unions (10) and (11).

  9. Connect hose assemblies (7) and (8). Connect hose assemblies (9).

  10. Fill the hydraulic tank with hydraulic oil to the correct level. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, SEBU7173, "Hoist, Torque Converter and Brake Tank Oil - Change" for the correct procedure.

  11. Use the hydraulics of the truck in order to extend hoist cylinder (1). Align the cylinder pin bore of the truck body bracket with the cylinder pin bore of hoist cylinder (1).

Note: Apply 5P-3931 Anti-Seize Compound to pin assembly (4) prior to installation.

  12. Align spacer (5) (not shown) and install pin assembly (4) halfway through hoist cylinder (1).

  13. Align spacer (6) (not shown) and install pin assembly (4) through hoist cylinder (1).

  14. Install bar (3). Install two bolts (2) and the washers. Tighten two bolts (2) to a torque of 105 ± 20 N·m (77.44 ± 14.75 lb ft).

  15. Remove the lifting device.

End By:

  1. Remove the wheel chocks. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Wheel Chock (Front and Rear) - Remove and Install".
