(1) 5D-1499 Shim
- Thickness ... 1.07 mm (0.042 inch)
5D-1500 Shim
- Thickness ... 0.25 mm (0.010 inch)
5D-4363 Shim
- Thickness ... 0.13 mm (0.005 inch)
Note: See the Power Train Testing and Adjusting, "Rear Axle Housing End Play - Adjust" in order to determine the shim pack thickness that should be installed.
(2) Torque for eight bolts ... 550 ± 20 N·m (405 ± 15 lb ft)
Note: Perform the Power Train Testing and Adjusting, "Rear Axle Housing End Play - Adjust" before you install these bolts.
(3) Torque for nut ... 2600 ± 260 N·m (1918 ± 192 lb ft)
Note: Apply 4C-5592 Anti-Seize Compound to the threads, to the nut face, and to the tapers of the kingbolt housing prior to assembly.
(4) Lubricate the end of the king bolt with 6V-4876 Lubricant before assembly.
