Telehandler:

This procedure has been developed in order to describe the manual retraction of the coupler pins. This is needed in order to remove an attachment if the coupler has been damaged.

1. Park the machine on a level surface.

2. Raise the boom in order to gain access to the coupler cover plate.

3. Install suitable jack stands under the boom.

4. Release the hydraulic pressure. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, RENR3437, "Hydraulic System Pressure - Release".

5. Remove the six bolts (1) that hold the cover plate (2) on. Lower the cover plate to the ground.

6. Use tool (A), (B), (C), and (D) in order to access the lock valve plug (3). Access the lock valve plug (3) from the left side of the coupler. The plug (3) is located in the valve body below the hoses.

7. Remove the plug and carefully remove the spring and the check ball. Place these items to the side.

8. Manually push the coupler pins in.

9. Reinstall the check ball, the spring and the plug.
